Black widow bites are serious but rarely fatal in humans. I have been bitten by one (I was sure it was a B.W because I caught it) and it was really no worse than maybe a hornet sting. If you went to the hospital I am sure that they know what they are doing by sending you home. B.W.' are highly venomous but the amount of venom injected depend on the size of the spider and how threatened the spider felt. Venom is difficult to produce, so the spider would not waste a lot on something that it could not eat. Glad you're ok. Just be careful.

BLACK WIDOWs are one of top 5 deadliest spiders.

i don't know more about them.but you should be lucky that it wasn't a funnelweb spider.

do let me know how you are feeling if possible .are you ok.i can't believe you let him creep on your back like that. are you sure it was a blackwidow or just someother spider.

Well, it is about 15 times more lethal than rattlesnake venom but only about 5% of untreated bites are deadly
