the ad keeps inviting me to call a premium rate number getting on my nerves need to get rid of it

open task manager, by using keys, ctrl, alt,delet, then lookin procsese and click to end that 1, you can also look in add/remove progs, amd as other have said run a spyware check, i use spybot seach and destroy, amd i also have spyware blaster running in the background,
looks like you havnt disabled the messenger in your services, that has nothing to do with any of your msn or any other messengers. its not needed and its often used by these progs that ask you to ring those premuim numbers.

ok, once your business is done with the pic (you get those from porn sites by the way! Most likely the kind that you get when you add "free" as a prefix to your google search) All you have to do is use any reliable spyware remover to get rid of it.

Download and run some anti-spyware software.
Spybot Search and Destroy should get rid of it.

Once you've installed it, perform an update to get the latest detection files. Then run it.

Go to Start Menu - Run - type 'msconfig' and deselect the programme.
Restart.
Also run Adaware or similar to delete the programme.

just go to internet options. pop ups. block . and when the pop up comes press F11 then copy and paste the site to block it. easy (ish)

run you're spy-ware then anti virus if that don't work then i can give you a program that wil kill all of them it needs step by steps but it will kill them ok
