So far there are 47 issues out in Japan, and no one, not even Rumiko Takahashi knows how long it will run. It depends on how long the fans are interested in it. If the interested gets lesser and lesser, she will bring it to an end, if not, it can run for who knows how much years.

gestimations in the fandom have been something like five hundred chapters or so. But recently Takahashi said she wasn't ready to end the series yet. I feel it's getting close though personally.
