my g/f said she wants make up for her b/day HELP where do i start?

my boyfriend buys me make up all the time!! lol.. well i suggest you find a MACY's around you.. go to a MAC counter and ask someone who works there for help... tell her what color skin she is... her eye color.. and hair color.. they should be able to help you... try to go for natural colors... brownish/ pink colors... good luck!

Oh, wow. she's putting you in a really tough position without even knowing it, (u being a boy and all), but the best place to start is to just ask her what brand she usually wears. Trust me, it will really sound thoughtful and you won't end up buying her makeup that she'll never put on. Next, pay some attention to her face. I know this sounds wierd, but look at the color of her eyelashes, her eyeliner, eyeshadow, lip gloss or lipstick, and then go to the store that sells the kind of makeup that she said that she wears. I would just guess the color that matches the color that you saw on her face, and then buy it for her. She'll love you for this, and I think that it's really cool that you're taking on a challenge like this that most guys would just say, "Nope, sorry." GOOD LUCK!!!!

I think you should get her a gift certificate to either: Sephora, MAC, or Ulta. I'm sure she (as any girly girl) will love any of those and this way she can pick out anything she wants. If you really don't want to get her a gift card, ask her more specifically what kind of makeup she likes, cuz just "makeup" is really general.

you can go to ulta or order from avon but you could also go to a department store. maybe you could go to jcpenny or kmart walmart target or something along those lines and they normally have big makeup kits there. you could ask her what kind she likes or possibly take a picture of her to a make up store and ask a salesperson what they think will look best on her. maybe a gift card would do it

Start with her skin color, is she tan? is she very light? or is she medium? if shes tan try golden colors, if shes light then try an ivory color, and if shes medium try between ivory and golden. What color is her eyes? blue? brown? green? or hazel? if her eye color is blues try dark blues, if they are brown try darker browns, if they are green try dark purples and greens, if they are hazel all of the above. What does she usually wear for her lips chapstick, lip gloss, lip balm, Heres the difference between chapstick and lip balm chapstick doesn't give any gloss while lip balm does, or lip stick? if she wears any of the above the try pinks.
