Maddog: How is anyone making fun of cross-dressers? You confuse me. I simply asked who was the most famous one. If they're going to be out there showing the world, they're going to be talked about.

Harris Glenn Milstead, better known by his drag persona Divine. He played roles in eighteen films during the 1980s, including the role of Edna Turnblad in John Waters' 'Hairspray'.
I'd say there are more famous cross-dressers, such as Barry Humphriest (Dame Edna Everage) and maybe more famous cross-dressing moments (Dustin Hoffman in 'Tootsie', Robin Williams in 'Mrs. Doubtfire') but for consistency, hollywood and in keeping a persistent cross-dresser image, you'd need to go with Milstead.
