Martina is decorating her new bedroom by puttting up wallpaper on one wall and border around all four walls, both at the ceiling and baseboard. Her room measures 14 ft, by 10 ft, and has an 8-ft ceiling. She is papering one of the 14-foot walls. How much wallpaper and border does she need to purchase?

14x8=112 sq. ft.
14+10+14+10=48 x 2=96

112 sq. ft of wallpaper
96 linear ft. of border

The guy before me got it right.
14x8=112 sq. ft. wallpaper
(14x2)+(10x2)=48x2= 96 ft. border
