The question is about "Parallel and Perpendicular Lines":

The question is: Through (3,-2) parallel to 2x-y=5

This IS my homework and I need a formula or something, so please tell me a website, or work this one out for me so I can do the rest myself. (Thankz soooo much)

if it is parallel, it will have the same slope. So you put the 2x-y=5 into y=mx+b form. so it would be: y= 2x-5 Then, you put the point (3,-2) on the graph. from there, you would go up 2, then to the right 1. (on the graph) Hope I helped! I'm really good at math, so if you ahve any more questions message me! =]

i guess it will be like this:

2x - y = 5
-y = 5 - 2x
y = - (5 - 2x)
y = -5 + 2x
y = 2x - 5

y = mx + c
m = 2, c = -5

x = 3, y = -2

y = mx + c
-2 = 2(3) + c
-2 = 6 + c
6 + c = -2
c = -2 - 6
c = -8

Answer : y = 2x - 8
or also can be:

y = 2x - 8
2x - 8 = y
2x - y = 8

i guess.. but not so sure..
