Let go from a job, owner said I was stealing. When in fact, I have the bank statements showing that he or his wife is the one taking money out of the account.

It does not seem like it now, but these crooks did you a favor!

Save your documentation - do not tell anyone you have it until it becomes imperitive to show it or you need it to protect your reputation.

Don't bad mouth the employer in your future interviews. Just tell prospective employers that you have a difference of opinion over a matter of integrity you consider serious enough to leave over.

Keep your chin up and good luck!

Yes it's called integrity which is probably the most valuable characteristic a person could have. Your reputation is everything, much more important than money because with a good reputation it's easy to make more money. While it might be easier just to go on with your life and forget about it, I suggest that this is one of those times in life when it's necessary to stand up for what is right even if it will cost you a lot of time, money and aggravation in the short run.....I say sue the bast**d.

Yes, keep those statements or copies, just in case he decides to sue you.
I know someone who was accused of taking money from a Corporation. First she was accused and fired, months later she received a letter from an Attorney for the Corporation. It took her a while to respond to the letter and she didn't hear anything back for a year. She was under the impression that everything must of been dropped. Then surprise, surprise, someone from the D/As office showed up at her new place of employment. Months after that she was arrested.
So, heads up.
