The first two thirds of the game are pretty boring compared to other MGS's, but the ending is quite good, really epic. There is a little too much weapons, but I liked the control scheme, the only thing I didn't like gameplay wise was lack of innovative bosses (except peace walker 2nd time and zeke) and that I couldn't move on my chest. Otherwise the close combat seemed like an improvement on MGS3, while long-range wasn't, changing items was slower but I was okay with it. I liked that I got to build up my base and missions were separated and could be redone. A lot of the characters are boring in the beginning, Chico, her sister, the French lady, I didn't like them, but it gets much better.
