i'm 11 years old and about to be 12. i've had my period since i was 10 and i am always putting on pads and when i go to school i get embarrassed because it starts to leak through. i'm afraid to put on tampons and is that weird?

listen I'm a girl and almost 19 when i first wore a tampon i think it was before i had sex for my frist time and its like u dont have to wait until u start having sex to wear a tampon . and as far i know if u do wear a tampon then when u has sex for the frist time it might make it beter like my when i had sex for my frist time it hert but i didnt bleed and i think it could of been because i used a tampon before then im not sure but listen here are some facts about tampons :
1. it wont make u not a vergin
2. it wont get lost inside of u cause it has no were to go
3. it will fit but u just need the right kind for ur flow
4.u can were it swimming.
5.if u cant pull it out with the sting put ur finger and ur tumb in side and pull it out.
its not weird that ur afraid to use one .
i think u should were one u will be gald u did .
please trust me and if u dont then please ask ur mom or ask this question again and include for adults
theres a paper with the tampons that tills u how to use it and gives u other infomation about it .

I was afraid to use tampons too, and when I first started using them, I hated them because I couldn't insert them right and they hurt when I sat. So I quit using tampons. But when I returned to them at fourteen (when I came to the realization that pads are far too troublesome), they worked fine. I don't get leakthroughs (except, maybe, at night), and most of the time I forget I'm even on my period.

i just got my period a few months ago, and pads are unconfertable, i am afraid to use the tampon but in some way i realy ! realy ! REALY want to use one ..... everytime i try it seems to get a little easier, it seems to help me if when i try i have a heavy flow. So try on a heavy day maybe that'll help....also try using k-y jelly (ask ure mom what it is) ir helps glide it in ... & believe me if u put it in a pull it right back out IT WILL HURT .... RELAX as much as possible this will relax ure muscles and make it easier for ya , (my mom told me tht) I hope tht halped ya out . also Dont make the same mistake i did and try to use cardboard applicator , plastic MORE BETTA

its normal 2 not want 2 use tampons.......theres no reason 2 be scared about it......just try it and you will probably like ita lot more then pads.......theres instruction on the box 2 help you if you do decide 2 try using them

no but i started to wera a tampon when i was ur age. don't worry tampons are ok. but the first time u use one it wil hurt because u havn't broke ur hymen before. and don't take it out to early wait like 4hr. if not it will hurt cuz it is to dry.

try using a thinner pad that isnt so bunchy, a thin pad. dont use tamps until you start to have sex, Number one they may never go in until then and number two your body is still growing and tamos maynot fit inside you. good luck and stick to the pads just change the style you use !

i am 11 almost 12 too.girl like to pick it is embarrassing.it natural so you have to do what you have to do .wear a tampoon

i was scared to try tampons too. but once you get the hang of changin it and stuff you'll prefer them
