If you really and truly know in your heart that you love the person that you are having a baby with. However, I don't recommend it to all teens as alot of the guys that make these kids do NOT stick around for the long run and support the kids that they make.

If what you say is true, then you are the exception to the rule. Most teen mothers live off of welfare, and are single. It's not that they want it that way, they just don't have a choice. They got pregnant and can't support themselves. I would be curious to know what your husband does at 23 in order for you to stay home and have a brand new house etc. Just curious, or are you really exaggerating a little?

More then half the guys who knock up girls are running off and denying being the father.
Not as many teens who get pregnant are as lucky as you. It is a proven fact most teens who get pregnant get kicked out of there parents house or drop out because they have none to watch there kid while they are at school.
I was a lucky one, I got pregnant at 16 and my mom did not work and was more then happy to watch my son while I was in school and worked which is why im in college now and she still watches him, if not for my parents I do not know what I would have done.
Not even half of the girls who get pregnant as a teen are as lucky as you and me.
Just remember something, you are young and so is your hubby, everything you have can go away in a blink of an eye. The way things are getting it is getting almost impossible to live on just one salary and on top of that it is getting hard to get a very decent job without a college education

While it may have worked for you, for many teen moms it ends up in chaos.
For one thing, teens do not understand the RESPONSIBILITY of having a child, nor do they have the money to support this child. They're still in the process of being raised themselves, and they don't need the extra burden of raising another human being quite yet. They also expose themselves to dangers such as diseases and the pain of childbirth, etc.
Teens need to grow up, get a job, find a good committed boyfriend/girlfriend and then consider having a child. Parents of teens who become pregnant can sometimes not be very willing to assist in the funding of this baby.
Teens need to get through school first. School prepares them for their futures - spur-of-the-moment sex and pregnancy does not. Many high school mothers do not earn their high school diplomas.
Although teens think that they are mentally prepared for a baby or any other outcomes of sex, most times they are not. While you're a teenager, you want to be out there getting good grades and enjoying life - not at home with a baby, no money and most likely a boyfriend or girlfriend (usually boyfriend) who is not committed enough to stay with you and help support this child.
I'm glad that your teenage pregnancy had a positive outcome but many will not turn out that way. Please remember that encouraging teens to have babies so young will hardly ever be beneficial on their part. It's time to enjoy your own life before you take the step to create a new life before you're ready.

You are very lucky and a small percentage of us fit in that catagory, I had my son at 15 lived on my own at 16 ..his Dad left me..and on and on.. you have a happy ending and just because you got lucky, not everyone does, they get the bad rap because they follow the footsteps of the last drop out teen, who makes going back to school look like the hardest thing in the world!? "yeah..have a baby so I can ditch school" and alot of these Mom's do NOT end up the way you did, they only dream to...who pays the price if the fail? their poor child.

Well, to each his own, if you can support your family and live a lavish life being only 19, go for it! I know what you mean about lots of people judging but you should use your common sense. The average 19 year old definately can't afford her own house unless she won the lotto or inherited it from their parents/grandparents.
Get real now. =/ I ain't trying to be mean, but yeah, I would think you were lyring.

Well even though teen pregnany is looked down upon, I think people need to get over it. I mean, if your not their kid then its none of their business. Dont let them bother you. As long as you're happy with life and the way its going then that's all that matters.
