A trojan is a virus that just sits on your computer and installs a program or payload that changes setting and can corrupt your computer and your files and can sometimes carry other viruses. You need to get a Anti-Virus software either McAfee which you can buy of the internet or Norton Anti-Virus. You must get rid of it fast. Shuting down your comp won't remove it. So if you have a anti-virus program use it now.

Something that you believe is doing one thing, when in actuality it is something entirely different--The Trojan Horse scenario. You downloaded a neat toolbar for IE 7.0, but what the toolbar does is actually spyware or a browser highjacker that makes you visit unwanted sites or creates poup windows out of nowhere.
