No genuine remedy will claim to "cure" cancer, but there is no harm in using alternative remedies in conjunction with the usual medicines.
If anything is used it should be mentioned to the oncologist treating the cancer, and you should really consult a qualified therapist of the method you intend to use. He or she will not, if genuine, suggest dropping conventional medicine, and will also let you know you have to tell your doctor.
Some alternative medicines and conventional medicines may be fine on their own but may have adverse reactions when used together, so *always* check.
My mother drank aloe vera juice, as it is supposed to be very healing, and if nothing else it is known for it's healing qualities on damaged skin (burns/cuts etc) and for helping to fight against infection. Although apparently it tastes foul...
Something else that can be considered is lavender oil, which is another very healing natural remedy, and can be used on scars and cuts, and also to aid relaxation and sleep. Sleep being one of the main factors to keeping a body strong during treatment for cancer.
Most alternative therapies will be used to ensure the cancer patient remains healthy in other ways and is fit enough, both physically and mentally, to get through treatment. If nothing else then a massage with aromatherapy oils will produce a feel good factor for a short while at least!
Choose a therapy, choose a qualified practioner and work with your conventional doctor to achieve the best results possible.
Good luck.

Tania, there was a lot of talking in Greece (Ippocrate´s country) lately, about a juice drink that many people claim that has cured their cancer. It comes from olive tree leaves. I don´t know if you can find them in your country, but look for them in shops that shell ecological products. This remedy has a long history and I would strongly suggested you to try it (without avoiding any other treatment of your doctor, ok?) ; you´ll see results very quickly.
The recipe is : one cup of cleaned (wash them with water and vinegar first) olive leaves, three cups of water. Put them in blender, and make a juice. It will have a beautiful green colour.Drink one cup 3 times a day.Keep in freeze daily. Make new juice every day. Don´t put sugar or honey.
Also, it would be very good if you knew how to meditate. NLP, or Silva Mind Control would give results that can astonish you.
Good luck, and inform us of the results in a few months !

There is no miracle drink to cure cancer yet. Studies show that people with cancer always have a deficiency in Selenium. They are not certain if cancer causes a Selenium deficiency or if a Selenium deficiency contributes to cancer. Make sure that you get 100 mcg daily but not much more as Selenium in mega doses is a poison. Also drink green tea daily as it has been shown to retard the growth of cancer cells.

there is not good alternative cure to cancer. antioxidants may or may not prevent some of the damage that causes cancer, but they have no ability to fight cancer once it is started- theyre merely a preventative.

Anything that claims to cure cancer is simply that - a claim.
There is no hard evidence at the moment.

Mangosteen juice is a powerful, natural anti-tumour, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxident agent.
Xanthones, found in the mangosteen fruit in abundace, have been tested against liver cancer, stomach, breast and colon cancer, as well as leukemia.
Being a natural fruit juice, it is easy to take, especially if not feeling well, and it tastes delicious.
It is always best to inform your doctor regarding alternative medicine intake.
