The letter gaps (A,B,C,D) refer to the spaces between the offensive lineman from the D line point of view. So you might have an A blitz or etc.. Usually letters are used for defensive plays and numbers are used for offensive plays.

Well, let's take metal as a whole, shall we? - Metal is seen as uncool, music for weirdos and Satanic by various sections of the mass media. Most people are too damn lazy and apathetic to think about it or listen to something that isn't on top 40 radio, so they just assume it's all true and decide they hate metal without ever hearing any of it. - Metal is a massive genre with lots of different sounds within it. There are so many subgenres that it's kind of scary trying to get into it in the first place. It's intimidating and a real challenge. - Metal is aggressive in terms of lyrical content, imagery and sound. It represents sex, politics, religion and so on in ways that make other people uncomfortable. It's brutally honest sometimes, and some people would rather live in a bubble where everything is always okay. And not everyone likes loud guitars, that's cool though. - The imagery associated with metal is silly, you have to admit that. Some dudes are in corpse paint in the woods, others are wearing stupidly tight trousers and lipstick, others have huge and complex stage sets. I mean, I like my music to be theatrical but not everyone is into that. Mind you, if someone thinks they're too cool for Kiss makeup they don't deserve to listen to metal anyway :P It's supposed to be part of the fun - The metal community is really insular. We all know it's because it's the only place we belong, and that our other metalhead friends are the only ones that 'get' what we're about, but I think some normal-looking people are put off because from the outside it looks like a bunch of cliquey, weird-looking people. - Some people just don't like metal. That's fine. I don't like modern pop music. I don't expect everyone to like metal. Anyway, part of the appeal of metal is precisely that- not everyone likes it. It'd be really boring if everyone liked metal.
