I found this in marriage laws for california
If either party is under 18, at least one of the minor's parents, or his or her legal guardian, must appear with the couple. An appointment with a counselor and appearance before a superior court judge must be scheduled. Ask the clerk for more information.
so you can get married in california, and the only way charges can be brought up on her is if your parents want to push the issue

I got married at 17 (I live in Cali) My parents had to sign for me to marry...we drove to Vegas..it was no biggie. My husband was 19 at the time..A parent HAS to be present at the time of marriage to sign for it. Don't know about statutory rape tho...you would have to look into that one. Good Luck

Depends on age of consent. If the age of consent isn't the age in which you committed the sexual deed, she can go to prison for it. Even if it was the age of consent, she could go to jail, because your parents could press charges, because you are still a minor. Any state you get married in,you are married underlaw and any state should recognize it. Good luck

no longer positive how the regulation reads in enormous apple, yet in many states once you're pregnant and 16 or older, you don't desire parental consent to receive a wedding ceremony license. The question i might want to have for you is why do you opt for to get married? you're youthful and characteristic your finished existence in the front of you. Marriage will be a huge moist blanket on your social existence. interpreting between the lines, curiously you're looking for for emotional and economic stability somewhat than marrying this youthful guy because you're fairly in love with him. supply your self and your youthful guy a destroy...you want time to strengthen and mature before making existence alterning judgements like marriage. believe me, i have been down this course myself. i replaced into merely 20 and my bride replaced into merely 18 when we married. It worked for 32 years and led to divorce because we actually had no longer something left in basic.

How close to 18? Actually, unless the parents of the 17 y/o are going to make a fuss...and if they're going to give permission, it sounds like they won't, most DA's offices won't bother.....ESPECIALLY since the minor is a man. Fortunately for you, there shouldn't be any reprocussions....other than the fact that you're still a "kid" yourself...now having a kid.....

Not if his parents are in agreement. It would have worked better if she could have at least waiting until he was 18. But if the parents are in agreement, it should be okay. But I was with check the legal ramifications before marrying.
