Last week we had to roll a bale of haylage down the ramp into the stableyard, my boot came straight off in the mud at the top and and I ended up pushing the bale down through ankle deep mud with one boot and a sock !
We were laughing so much that we could hardly push it !

Not really to the extent of losing my shoe, but I've had my high heels sink so far into the grass that I have to walk on tip toe or risk falling over. That's probably about as fun as losing your shoe to the mud.

Not yet - give it time I'm sure one day I shall be intoxicated near a puddle in non sensible shoes and it will happen!
You should watch this classic clip (a few seconds long) from English TV program - Vicar of Dibley very funny puddle clip!

(The cult program in the UK is about to be remade in US by Kirstie Allen as lead instead of the fab Dawn French)

not on a rainy day.. i was walking near a pond, and it was really muddy, and i lost my sandal in the mud (it was completely gone! i couldn't even see it!), but i came back there the next day and it was still there, but half of it was sticking out. I got it back though.
i think i threw that shoe out.

Yes and after that happens I usually lose my sock in the mud trying to catch my balance. All I could do was laugh.

Sure..plenty of times. It happens to me all the time at my cabin. My brother made big mud pits to run his 4-wheeler and truck through and I forget to watch my footing!
