it means he is a ashole and you need to find some one who can answer a simple question because he is to afraid to, dosnt know **** about what a girl wants or is a big pusy that just wants to be your lesbian friend. be sides if he wont give you a answer then dont give him no pusy cause he is just using you and not willing to commit. so there girl take it from someone in there late forties that knows what it means. can ya dig it baby? huh?

Some people have problems expressing their emotions in words, but that can also be a rotten excuse for bad behavior. If he says maybe playfully, and smiles and hugs you when he says it, he probably loves you and this is just his way, but honestly, after five years, if he does love you, he should not only be able to say it, he should be able to shout it and gladly. Five years is a long time to wait to be told you are loved. And yes, sports fans, we all need to hear the words, not just be shown. So, this is your decision and you have one to make. Can you live with this maybe the rest of your life, or do you move on? Good luck.

I'd stop asking, and that's the truth. It would be obvious to me that the other person doesn't have an answer because they're not sure how they feel. He may have the impression by now, that you could be attempting to 'force the issue' of love, which should in fact be a natural response.
Just keep the I love you null for awhile and don't say anything. See if this prompts him to say anything on his own. Without you asking it or saying it will clue him in that you understand his status and are not forcing him to react.

Been together for 5 years is not a short time thus could it be that he's taking the relationship for granted? Ask him to give you a yes or no; and not a maybe unless he's not committed to the relationship.

It means you need to stop asking him and let his actions speak for themself. Greg Berendt wrote a book "He's just not that into you" pick yourself up a copy so you can see if he just isn't ready or it's time to move on. Trust me you should want him to say Maybe and not yes if he really doesn't mean it.

I believe that a guy should never be asked if he loves you cos when he does, he will certainly let you know. If he says maybe, hes probably confused & not sure if he does. Maybe hes not ready to be in love.

I think that means it's time to move on. If after 5 years he cannot say he loves you, then I doubt he ever will. You deserve better.

He sounds like he doesn't know what to do.Ask yourself this.Do you want to be with someone who can't make up their mind about loving you?Maybe he is just not ready to say those words.I also think that 5 years is long enough to make up his mind.

Its all upto you how long you are gonna carry on ......He might be a bit naive he might not want to commit probably after somedays he may say its over ...................so just be sure what r u getting into .................If i where u I wont waste much of my emotions over it when the other person is unsure about his future of the relationship

It means that he does not Love you. Sorry. Maybe he's not ready for that level of relationship yet.
