Open Internet Explorer, click on Tools at the top, click Internet Options.

In the window that comes up click on the Advanced tab at the top, and check BOTH of the boxes that say "Disable Script Debugging", and also check the box that says "Display a Notification about every script error".

Now click OK, and close Internet Explorer and reopen it. Try the site you got the error on and it should not give an error.

Are you debugging? In Internet Explorer you can often get it narrowed down to which line of the script caused the failure. Aside from that, you can usually narrow down parts of the script (by commenting out huge parts of code) until you narrow down the part of the code that is causing the problem...

Are you just trying to see a web page that has a script that is causing a problem? Just go into browser options and disable javascript and live with the results...

Is this a web page that you maintain or someone else's web site? If it's someone else's web site, then you can't do anything about it, other than e-mail them to let them know they have an error.

If it's on your web site, then if you click the warning icon on the bottom left corner of your browser (in the status area), a dialog should open up and tell you what line number is in error.
