why do you go red when you blush/ cry?

This question more properly belongs in biology, but I'll answer it.
Blushing is the result of blood rushing to the skin. Just prior to blushing, our blood pressure drops (that is the sinking feeling you get) and our skin goes cold, the body reacts by pumping more blood to the skin ( the thumpling you feel in your chest). But, you are not cold, so as a result you feel very hot.

Human reaction, it is a chain reaction of events.
You look at a guy and think well he looks great, the brain is ticking over the heart beats faster the blood pressure goes up, the body temperature goes up, you get red face neck sweaty hand etc and the chain reaction goes on and on

Because the blood vessels are dilated cause of a sympathetic, vegetative nerve-effect. There are many connections between emotions and mimics, happenings in the human brain! the most important center of emotions is located in the limbic system

Your heart rate increases, which increases blood flow. This increases the blood flow to ur brain. Causing the blood vessels in your face to swell and rise to the surface of ur face causing a red look in your face.

It's because extra blood goes to your face when you are embarrassed or upset

i believe its cause your body gets hot with those 2 happen......from my guessing
