I hate the Yankees for the way Steinbrenner feels he is so superior to everyone else. He feels HE deserves the WS every year. And the fans are just like he is. Arrogant better than you attitude flows from 99% of New Yorkers I have ever known. And they are the biggest whiners when they don't get their way. I hate the Yankees and their fans alike. As far as the players, I like many of them, they are just on terrible club. I'd love to have A-Rod, Jeter, Cano, Matsui, Damon, Mussina, Rivera on the Cardinals. Then they'd see who truly has the best fans in BB. When Rolan can to the Cards he was in an 0 for 20 something slump. Get try and help him the fans gave him a standing ovation and he was shocked. Can to ever see that happening in NY? Never! The fans would have tried to run him out of town if in NY. NYers suck as do the Yankees!!!!

Im not a fan of either the Red Sox or the Yankees, so this is totally unbiased.

1.) The Yankees practiaclly own half of my team, the Pirates. The only reason we havent gone bankrupt is due to the finacial backing from them, and I never want to be in debt to anyone.
2.) They are a bunch of choke artists. Just look at the 2004 pennant.
3.) When they dont choke, they are too damn good. 26 titles is the most for any team in any sport. I think the closest team to that mark is the Ottowa Senators with 16 stanley cups, but i may be mistaken.
4.) They waste their money. They are backing 4 teams finacially and getting nothing back. Plus, they put a lot of money into a few contracts. A-Rod by himself is worth more than the entire payroll of the Flordia Marlins.

I've hated the Yankees since I knew what baseball was, and I will always hate them. One reason why I hate them is because they have so many "fans" that don't know anything about them or are very rude and obnoxious. Their fans have chanted "Let's go Yankees" at ORIOLES games I've been to when they're not even playing. I also hate them because they try to buy championships. Mike Mussina said he would never leave the Orioles and he did... for the Yankees, which he said was to be closer to his Pennsylvania home but he went to get a championship which he's still waiting for. The thing that started my hatred was in 1996 when Jeffrey Maier reached over the fence for a Yankees home run to win the 1996 ALCS, over my beloved Orioles. After the incedent Maier appeared on many T.V. shows, and even had a parade and gave him tickets behind the dugout, and even a key to the city! If it's not bad enough I keep on hearing count the rings, but hey if you cheat you don't deserve them, that's why I hate Jeter because he hit that ball, and was the one who came up with the rewards.

Can Everybody here just SHUT THE **** UP!!!!!!!!!!!! The Yanks probably have more players from their farm system on their roster than most teams. People forget that Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera, two first ballot HOF'ers came from the farm system. Also Jorge Posada and Bernie Williams. They also have some young talent like Chien Ming Wang, Robinson Cano, and Phillip Hughes.

I hate them because the team is so much like its fans. Obnoxious, arrogant and often stupid. Most yankees fans cannot even name more than a few players on the team yet they assume they are so cool cause they root for a team that won a bunch of crap a while ago. Newsflash you did not do anything so stop thinking you are cool. Also stop wearing all that yankee gear if you do not even follow the team. Just talk to anyone wearing a yankee cap about baseball for 5 minutes. If you can make it that long you will surely hate the yankees from then on out.

Since MLB has no salary cap, the Yankees can afford all the best players in a trade or free agency. And Yankees can outbid any team and take away their hometown heros. When they win, all these wannabes start jumping on the Yankee bandwagon. And become arrogant and automatically grow a pair of nuts. Personally, I don't like seeing Giambi play for them. I'm an A's fan.

Thats why everone laughs when the Yankees have a $200 million payroll, and can't get past the ALDS. And teams with 1/4 of the Yankee payroll (like the Florida Marlins) win in all.

Overall, I'm a fan of baseball. I like to watch the home team when I visit a certain city (Even NY). A's are still #1 to me though. Let's go Oak-land.

It's not our fault that when we win a world series, we get money, we use that money to buy players and win more world series, therefore earning more money. All right you asked for it !!! When I was growing up, out of 98 boys in our little neighborhood, I was the only one that did'nt care for the yankees. That's all I heard was how great the yankees were. It seemed like the whole town loved them. Sometimes I could have swore we lived just outside of N.Y. We lived in north western P.A. Here I am , watching a game on tv with my dad and ther is this guy named Clemente. So maybe just for spite, I was the biggest Pirate fan in the world!! All I'd hear is Mantle this and Maris that. You could just imagine me after Maz's shot heard round the world!! Now I am older and have children of my own. We have more of a big brother relationship than father daughters or father sons but none of them will say anything about the yankees in my presence. They even tell their freinds, dont' get him started! They and some of my freinds will tease the crap out of me but they know my hatered for that @#$%&*$# team is deeprooted and will never change 'till the day I die. It is obvious that you yourself are a yankee fan but remember you asked for it!!!! Have a great season!!!!!
