Check to see if he is teething- that can reduce appetite, and cause the runny nose and strangely the runny stools too- but that is because of the extra saliva that babies produce and swallow whilst teething.
Give some Bonjela and medised, and plenty of cuddles!

Sounds like teething. Drooling, irritability, red cheeks, swollen gums, diareha, sometimes a low fever. If he has a runny nose then he probably has a cold. You can give tylenol ( according to his weight) for the teething pain and I use triaminc for colds. Ask your doc about dosage.

If he is gnawing on anything he can get a hold of then
more then likely he is teething. A cool wet wash cloth
or one of those chew toys specifically made for teething
will help ease the discomfort of the tooth (teeth) that
is coming in. Also when he gets older and eats solids
frozen waffles and frozen pancakes work good for
teething.

Got a diaper rash too? With some fever? Trying to chew anything he can put in his mouth? Really sounds like he is teething. Get some of the chew rings you can stick in the freezer and freeze. Don't forget the ora-gel.

It sounds like he's teething. Keep some Baby panadol on hand and go to the shops and get him some teething rusks.
Also try and remember what your worst tooth ache feels like and that's what he's going through so have some patience.

He might just have a little cold. If he is eating at all, that is good. If he gets a fever that can't be controlled with Children's Tylenol, then he needs to go in. Also, if he stops eating, he might become dehydrated. Signs are listlessness and sunken eyes, that needs emergency medical attention immediately.

While, visibly you see no teeth, are his gums a bit swelled? My guess is that your son is teething and like a planted seed the sprout will soon show!
