I mean.. the boy knows that the girl has a good character... and the girl also knows that the boy is of a good character... afterall they are in the same college/workplace,say for 4 years and know each other quite well.. they know the plus and minus of each other.. but they haven't talked to each other!..ok..and if both of them look at each other often with a liking for each other, can LOVE develop?.. If so, will it last longer?

Infatuation can develop, yes, definitely, but that's a far cry from love. An absolute requirement for mutual love (as opposed to lust, infatuation, obsession, etc.) is mutual, two-way communication.

I really don't believe in "love from afar". Love takes work and if someone isn't even willing to make the effort to say hello, then an expectation of developing love shows a meagre grasp of reality.

Possible.

Likely.

It is a matter of commitment after the marriage to make things work , the principle is give and take not actually in this order.

is this a hypothetical question? cuz i think so, even if it's just eye candy. if they do end up talking there is a chance that they could fall in love. if they're just looking at each other it's just lust, but I.M.H.O. love can develop.
