A lot of the same questions here.
1) Radicals are the extreme outliers of any discussion. If they are VERY liberal or VERY conservative to the point of not being within what could be considered the "Norm", the are radicals.

2 Conservative and Liberal are opposites -
Socially, Conservative tends to mean less open, more private, and more aligned to the group, Liberal tends to mean more open, less private, more pushing for change, and more on the outer edges of the group.
Economically, Conservative tends to be spending as little as possible, and only on "needs", Liberal tens to be more free spending, on things that would be "nice" to have.

3 Democrats and Left Wing tend to be the same, and tend to be more socially and economically liberal.
Republicans and Right Wing tend to be the same, and tend to be more socially and economically conservative.

Let's see Conservatives, republicans, right wing and now also democrats are pro Big Business, pro Corporate America. They believe in low taxes no government transfer payments ex; unemployment insurance, welfare, disability, pensions ya ta , ya ta. They also lay claim to hating big government but their very reason for being it seems is to expand. Also I find this group on the hypocrite side because they know darn well that if you eliminated every single transfer payment, heck triple each one then scrap them all. The government wouldn't notice. would not make a dent in the debt or anything else, but they do own all the media so they get to direct your attention, and what yo divert your attention from ex; The real welfare goes to private companies that survive on our tax money. Government welfare like Haliburton's. Lockheed Martin. well lets put it this way 498 of the top fortune 500 would be bankrupt without our hand outs. democrats were traditionally the party for the poor and working class. They were supposed to be the ones from keeping these corporations from running amok's and influencing congress. Making sure working American's got a fair shake, make laws about outsourcing so much of the work force, controlling the boarders and enforcing human rights when dealing with workers etc. , but they have jumped ship and are now merely the other side of the same coin I guess you could call the Republicrat Party. Left wing can range from a communist to somebody who merely wants some social justice. I think a radical is anybody that voices an oppinion outside the official excpted norm...Mary

You'll get a variety of answers on this question, including some pet names for whichever opposing position they are directed.

so, I will try to give an objective analysis for you

Conservatives favor smaller government, fiscal responsibility, less spending on social issues, work ethic, preservation of family, accountability, and personal responsibility to take charge of one's life. While many conservatives align themselves with the Republican Party, not all Republicans are conservatives. Right wing is usually applied to the conservative Republicans.

Democrats are usually branded as liberals. Liberals tend to favor more government supplied social programs with less personal accountability. While that is a generalization, most social programs require more taxes, which is the method favored by Democrats. Left wing is usually applied to the liberal Democrats.

Radicals are usually considered extremists at both ends of the political spectrum or as anarchists, communists, terrorists, etc. They are considered to be uncooperative.

Radicals are the extremists in any group
Conservatives are for small government and lower taxes, generally for more "traditional" (AKA 1950s) values and that private business can fix probelms better than the government.
Liberals generally believe the government should fix the problems and the government should have more control (bigger government)
Democrats and republicans are just the political parties
LEft wing refers to the liberals
Right wing refers to the conservatives.

If you are paying attention to the news and don't limit your news sources to bill o "not" really and head rush limbaugh or whatever the liberal equivalent would be, you should be learning that there are not alot of differences any more. The ultimate agenda is the same for both. Neither party cares about average americans any more except right before the election when they need our vote and April 15th when it's time for us to pay the bills. People can attack me for being an independent who refuses to follow blindly and defend the idiotic actions of representatives because we have the same party affiliation. I like being outside the camp. No democrat or republican will ever get my vote again unless they leave their party and come outside the camp where sanity reigns. I'm hoping Ron Paul or someone like him will do that.

Radicals are extreme right or extreme left and no deviation thereof. Democrats are the left wing and Republican are the right wing, with the majority of the people more in the middle with slight deviations right or left.

In most cases those titles describe people who have difficulty falling asleep at night.

In rare cases they apply to folks who believe they have the right answer to governmental problems.

Actually those names have no real meaning since no one ever reaches the state that fits into the definition of the words.
