AVG anti virus is free. You can go to their website and download it as well as a good AVG spy-ware program. A friend of mine who is an IT person, has it on his computer at home. It's been working great for years now. He highly recommends it. Norton has failed me twice recently and I've removed it from my computer and I'm running AVG as well and it's working great so far. He said the version of AVG that you pay for, is more directed at business and the free version is for home computers. According to him, the people who put out AVG believe that everyone has the right to be protected from computer viruses. I hope this helps. As for system restore, it's not complicated but I can't remember how I did it on my old computer. I'm not sure with the new one. It hasn't come up. Best wishes to you!

Go to Download.com and download the free spybot it cleaned up my virus's run it every day.
I hope it isn't to late by the time you get this.
