personally, i find it disgusting and offensive. if u have to be an animal, and feed your kid like that u should not be in public doing it...

I think it is ok at some places. Not a restaruant or public trans. I think it is ok if is just out of sheer need to feed. It probably does make a lot of people uncomfortable, so, if it can wait then it should be done at home or at a residence.

Mike, I hate to tell you this but humans are animals, actually mammals. To bad you find it disgusting. It is really not. Kids who are breastfed are healthier, smarter and are less likely to develop some cancers and obesity. How can something like this be disgusting? If you love your child why would you do anything else if you could. From your comment I bet you are young and don't have any kids yet. Just wait until you are about to become a father and see if you still really feel it is disgustings and animalistic.

I'm all for women providing nutrition for their babies in the way nature intended. But doing it in public can prove to be embarrassing to both the mother and onlookers.
My sister used to have a sheer shawl that she draped over her baby because she was more modest. There are also other ways women can deal, such as breast pumps.
I honestly think that the American public has not evolved beyond the breast as a sexual object.

No. I think that moms can be discreet about it, but if they want to breast feed openly thats OK too. It is not a sexual act. It is a time of bonding between a mother and her child. Besides, it is the healthiest and most convenient way for a mother to feed her baby.

Your insane, There is nothing wrong with doing it Gods way. Many or most serial killers grew up in a home filled with shame about there bodies. You find it offensive because you were raised in the same type of shame based home.
