Did year round club swimming in Middle school. Stopped for Track and X-Country in high school, but still swam in the summer.

If you really like one more than the other do that one, both sports are great.

Only realize advice is that unless you are butterfly specialist, you are going to have more long term damage to your body doing Track and X-Country.

I say stick with the swimming. You've been doing it for seven years and your good. I run track, but I wouldn't want to give that up to do another sport that cuts into my season.

What sport do you really love?
Which sport gives you true satisfaction?
Are you tired of swimming and want to go onto something else?
Then that is the sport that I would go with. Its too bad that some sports overlap and cause kids to have to make a decision between one or the other.

Swimming is just as good to keep fit and healthy. Track is alot harder on your knees. Ask any runner about their pains later in life. Keep swimming !!!
