i need help remembering the name of a movie i once saw. the basic plot is that the main character is able to psycicly predict earthquakes in California, but at the end it is reveiled that he has a brain tumor

it might be phenomenon but that wasn't the plot, just a sub plot
but yes it is a great movie

OMG, I love this movie, Phenomenon! With John Travolta.
This guy is celebrating his birthday and goes outside and sees what seems like a comet, it knocks him over and pretty soon he starts to read a lot and keeps getting smarter. Many of the towns people start to notice the changes in him. The police take him in and start to make him take tests, and because he is so smart, he makes a perfect score. He saves a life and this makes him more conspicuous, because, how can he learn a language in 20 minutes? Near the end of the movie he and the woman he likes, fall in love, but this ends when the country starts to look for him at her house because they believe that he is making the earthquakes happen and want to run tests on him. He dies in her arms. It is such a great movie, and so sad.

Kinda sounds like Phenomenon with John Travolta...but I don't know if he was in California?...
