The circumference of a circle is the distance around the circle.
The formula: Circumference / diameter = Pi. If you know the diameter, you can find the circumference because you have the value for the diameter and Pi.
http://www.mathsisfun.com/area.html
Area is Pi x (radius x radius). Radius is half of the diameter.
I hope this helps!

use the formula C=pi x D
meaning circumference equals 3.14 multiplied by the diameter. OR if you have a radius use C=pi x r2
meanig circumference equals 3.14 multiplied by the radius squared (multiply the radius by itself)

you find the circumference by multiplying the diamater and pi.
C = d x pi
you find area by mutiplying pi and the radius to the second power.
A = pi x r^2
you find diamater by multiplying the radius by 2.
