I say this is not unique to gay young men. All young men seem to have a fair number of disrespectful, arrogant and boastful members. This holds true for young women as well. Defending myself is often not a choice. I am an older person and get a lot of snide comments from young people but they are usually on the run with their buddies and think their comments are cute. There is no defense. All I know is that as they age and become old, they too will become the recipients of this kind of trash. In the last 20 years I believe that we have programmed children to be just this type of person. Look at all the commercials and sit-coms on TV that make adults look like jerks and make kids look like winners. Look what our schools have lost...due to budget cuts music, art, PE are all being cut. What are we offering to kids anymore to make them sensitive, caring people?

First, we should wonder what qualifies as an "older" guy. But to the question at hand... I am, i guess, somewhere in the middle at 37, and really just average looking on my best day, but you would be surprised how many hottie frat boy types have hit on me. Some I have gone out with and some I haven't. I used to be a "my age or younger" kinda guy, until i spent a little time with someone who was a few years older than I am (hell hot fellas, hell hot). I find that I like spending most of my time with guys around my own age (+-10) simply for the benefit of similar life experiences and the greater likelyhood of having things to talk about after sex. So i guess, i don't hold much stock in an age number either all in all. I like to examine some character, ambition, overall general attitude, etc. remember guys... A puppy may be cute and fun to pet, but there's no guarantee he'll make a good pet.

I have spoken to probably 40 gay men of all ages on here & only 1 out of 40 was ever snotty to me. Now as for straight men those numbers would be reversed

Some are sweet, kind, and respectful of their elders... Maybe it just seems that way because now you are older and you are getting a taste of how you treated your elders when you were young? This is must not a gay thing. It's just a rite of passage from being young and stupid to being older and wiser.

this is just stereotyping. If people didn't think like this then there wouldn't be a problem here.
