I can't figure out why has in this last decade everyone gone leg shy. In the gym no one wears Leotards or workout breifs anymore. I see in sports like basket ball the girls have completely covered their legs. Back in my high school cheerleading days I would wear a very short skirt with a workout breif/bikinibottom. I really liked that...I got to show off. Many other places as well for example when i watch a circus on TV I see leotards have been substituted for Unitards. In danceing shows again they wear more. This botheres me because I find that hideing ones body is a step backwards and not front wards. I wonder if the next generation will go back to the 80's style of showing legs again.

I agree, not just women, men too! I liked the short cut-offs we used to wear in the 70s & 80s

Most people around here that actually have good legs show them off in the summer. However, I don't have great legs though I'm average size and I'd rather not subject others to seeing them. I'm sure other people feel the same. Also, styles just change.

One word CELLULITE. Most girls do not have it in them to keep fit. So they yo-yo diet . Big -Small -Big- Small... And many girls will not lift a weight either. Most women have either skinny and,or fat cellulite legs...and that's what I see here in LA. You live in the land of beautiful women!!!!!!
I run and bust it out every night at the gym... so I will show my legs off this summer.
Not everyone has your legs... so they are shy.

I have no idea what everyones deal is , but I agree with you, I enjoy showing my legs off as well (as long as I shaved the night before, lol). If you've got them, flaunt them, I say. Yup yup. Loves,

I don't think guys are sly in this regard but gals are shy becauae those who look at their legs don't stop at that but go up and up and all the way to the roots where girls hide their jewels.

even worse are business attire. men are expected to cover their entire body except for their head and hands.. i'd love to be able to show off a little skin in the office, especially full bare arms and legs.. but it just doesn't seem to be acceptable.. kinda sad.. and even woese, guys who wanna dress feminine tend to get blasted with negative stereotypes..
but hey, cheerleaders i see still tend to dress very sexy and revealing. .almost take it too far actually..

I think it's classier to show a small amt. of leg in a knee length skirt than it is to wear a mini-skirt.

I think girls are sexier, in tight jeans than a bathing suit. Just b/c it leaves more to the imagination.

i think more ppl are judging on things like tans and if your fat or not i mean i have no tan at all and most ppl make fun of me for it so i wear pants all year long and most ppl think they have 'fat' thighs
