Always be overly pleasant to her and smile when you see her. Comment on how much you like her clothes and what a wonderful job she does with her daughter. Kill her with kindness.

You can't, he will always be tied to his ex through his daughter. You will either have to learn to deal with things as they are or find a guy who doesn't have any ex's or children by them.

there is nothing u can do to get the ex to like u, as she feels u are the reason why he is not with her, fair or not, this is what she thinks. your boyfriend has to deal with this woman, so he is trying to keep it as pleasant as he can. just avoid her if possible. she is going to dislike u no matter what u do or how nice u are. she is jealous.
