The above was the question on Yahoo, but the answer below won:
I have changed the answers words to protect these guys identity but it basically means exactly the same.
He said that the fundamental duty of working is on the male. He then suggested that women ‘should’ work but only in the case on a crisis. Then he said women should dedicate their time to simple and easy tasks, because it is (apparently) very different for them to go for a job since it is not easy for them to earn and adjust.
After he won someone’s vote, he replied by first saying that women ‘should’ sing a song - which I won’t state because it’s not English. But the song he used in this context was used to imply that women should be waiting for their husbands when they come home from work. After which, he said love is more important than money.
If I am upset about this, do you think I am wrong to?
State your gender with you reply please.

If you're upset, it's because it's upsetting that some people still consider women to be second-class citizens without the rights and advantages of the male population. It makes no sense, and is a throwback to another century. These people need to grow up, or they will find that the world has moved on and left them standing still.

Some men are was raise the old way. Its ok to not like it and that guy sounds stupid. I love to work instead of being at home. But now i'm stuck in a country where i'm unable to work. My wife is USAF. So she is the only one working. Being a stay at home dad makes me look at life different when it comes to who working. It took a while to not fill bad because I couldn't bring any income in. But being married is a team effort. It doen't matter where the income comes from. Just got to take life as faith gives you.

i am Female!
I would love to just be a house wife! and leave my job open for someone who don't have a job and hopefully male! But I feel that in a 2 adult house hold only 1 person should work weather it be male or female!
you will notice the unemployment has increase sence females started working.. is it fair to have 2 people in a house hold working hard for that house that they are not in? when someone down the street just lost there home because they can't seem to find a job!
i could care less who works and who stays home but for me personally i would love to stay home! stay with the "Kids" spoil my husband... that would be ideal then my kid would have guidance and someone to be there for him or her when they get home from school and someone to get up with them in the mornings!
durning that time the man is at work and the kids at school that would be MY TIME! as of now i get home after working all damn day at a job i love i must add.. :) to do try to cook a dinner and relax needless to say if i want friends i must include them in well there goes a good nites rest!
I love my job i love to cook i love my friends.
It worked so well in the past when the women stayed home peeps didn't lose there homes kids we some what parented and or had some sort of guidence.. Now a days kids are CRAZY jobs are to many few and far between.
i think it would bring peeps back to the dinner table and normal things may just happen... But what do i know i failed history and english so what am i doing as a radio host anyway! umm
Kudo's to the man that posted that! Hopefully he works hard for his money!

gee, isn't it fun dealing with sexists?
yeah, pretty ridiculous. i work full time (40-50 hrs /wk) at a fairly good job that i earned with two bachelor's degrees. my husband has his GED & cannot find a job that pays much higher than minimum wage. so doesn't it make sense that i should work? i think so. it does not mean that i don't eagerly anticipate seeing my husband when I get off work. love IS more important than money, but love can be threatened by poverty. it's much easier to be happy together when you can afford to pay rent and buy food.
Mad Luv
you're forgetting that jobs are being exported overseas-hence the higher rates of unemployment. also, real estate is a lot more expensive and most couples need two incomes in order to own a home--hence the one income family losing theirs. if you want to be a housewife, terrific!! but I do not want to be one again!! i was a housewife in my previous marriage and was NEVER appreciated. i was also at the mercy of an abusive husband because i could not afford to live on my own. i got out, but had to accumulate nearly 10k in debt AND get on welfare. my mother is in a similar situation, my dad left her after 30 yrs, she has been a housewife since she was 16. she can't get a job. she never graduated h.s. i will not depend on anyone but myself, so YES, WOMEN SHOULD BE ABLE TO WORK!!!

I don't agree with the first answer EITHER because it is simplistic and only addresses monetary issues. If you take management courses you will learn that employment offers both intrinsic and extrinsic rewards;
Intrinsic rewards
1. the satisfaction of accomplishment, achievment,
2. intellectual stimulation, challenge
3. social rewards - interaction with others, friendship
Extrinisic rewards - excluding monetary rewards
1. peer recognition
There is of course much more to it and I have forgotten more than I remember from my course. Suffice it to say that money is an extrinsic reward and only involves a fraction of the entire picture:

No, technically if the women are doing the working, they're supporting their men.
