And asked if this connect was he or she a cop ? Then later discovered they really was law enforcement could I still get in trouble if they lied and said they was not a cop? Just wondering because someone told me once you ask they cannot lie or some bull.

If they are undercover they can lie to you...technically it is entrapment yes, but usually they arent trying to get the rinky dink dude buying a dime bag...they are going for the dealer so they will try to get you to snitch

Anytime you are dealing with an illegal substance you run the risk of getting 'in trouble'. It doesn't really matter what the cop does or does not say to you.

I think there is a law against an undercover cop lying. Its called entrapment, and it's illegal.

weren't you the one trying to buy drugs so don't you think your the one in the wrong . . haven't you heard of undercover cops . . do you think they can't deceieve you ? I think that is part of thier cover is decieving you. . .
