There's nothing wrong with being a tomboy, and if you're happy and comfortable with it then I wouldn't change. If you wanted to make some changes, try keeping your basic style but changing it up a bit. I used to be a tomboy myself, and I started wearing jeans that were more fitted (and I mean fitted, not skintight) instead of my usual baggy jeans, wore shirts that were more fitted (t-shirts included) and began accessorizing with earrings and the like. That way I still had my laid bag jeans n' tee style, but it looked more feminine.

What you need to do first off, is to tell your mom what is going on with you, and that you really need a change. Then get your mom to take you to a salon and get and nice feminine hair cut. If your mom can't help you out with clothes, then get a friend or relative to give you some tips on what kind of clothes to buy. If you really don't have anyone, head to a store and choose a sales girl that has a look you like. Tell her you love how she dresses and that you need some help. She will be flattered and will totally want to help you. Another thing that makes an outfit is jewelry. Don't forget to ask for help with that too!
You are old enough to wear a little make up, but don't over do it. Just a little eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow--no lipstick--just gloss your lips. Just remember while you are doing this little makeover to still pick things that you like. No matter how you look you will still be you, and you need to be comfortable.
Good luck honey! I'm sure you are a beautiful young lady. Just remember that looks aren't everything, you have to be pretty on the inside too!!!

there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a tom boy. I was raised with a brother and am the only girl in my entire family. So naturally I gravitated towards things like sports, etc. As I have gotten older I have incorporated more feminine things with a nice edgy twist. I still love my jeans. but look for more figure flattering styles and cuts. I have incorporated more jewelry and subtle make-up. etc.

i personally would rather be a tomboy than a girly girl. just a personal preference. I hate fussy girly stuff. they dont fit my lifestyle or my personality.

pick up some fashion mags, especially marie claire and in style. they always have great fashion ideas and show how to incorporate them into your life. just take baby steps. since you are just 14. try adding some subtle make-up, touch of bronzer, nice light lip gloss, maybe some mascara and natural looking eyeliner. nothing overboard. just accentuate what you have.

instead of wearing sneakers with your jeans or pants, try nice sandals or low kitten heels. little touches like that go a long way. don't wear a fleecy thing or sweatshirt, nice sweater is better. look at what the other girls whom you think are girly girl, and try to incorporate that.

since you are hip hop girl, check out people like mary j. blige, who kind of cross that fine line of hip rocker chick to gorgeous woman. she looked amazing at the grammys.

Good luck.

I suggest picking up a magazine or two and go through the pages and see what styles or what items of clothing you like that way when you go to the mall you have an idea of what you already like and hopefully wont be too overwhelmed. At the same time, dont be afraid to try something totally different or a color you dont normally wear because you may like how it looks.Fashion is about experimenting and having fun. Most importantly remember the most important key to pull any kind of look off is that you feel good and comfortable in what you wear.

start wearing makeup if u don't and if u always wear ur hair up, don't anymore. it'll only make u look like u don't really care about how u look and u obviously do. also wear form fitting clothes that show off ur body, i don't mean that in a slutish way but if u wear some what baggy clothes u should stop. how about getting ur nails done once in a while, no tomboy would ever do that. also wear shiny, sparkly clothes because what girl can resist that!!
o yea nd if ur good at sports like in ur gym classes and stuff, don't get pressured to stop being athletic cuz a girl whos beautiful and athletic is the best of both worlds and guys like that.
OK so good luck nd i hope i helped!!!!

Hmm... Try getting a dressy outfit, like low cut jeans and a pink shirt. Instead of jumping into dresses and skirts, try skorts, you know, the skirts with shorts underneath, to get more comfortable wearing them. Ask your parents to take you to a hair salon and have them cut your hair into an easy to manage girly style. Throw a sleepover for girls only if your parents will allow it and you will get LOTS of inside details on how girls act. Try painting your fingernails or toenails if you want to be able to hide it, then you can secretly think "there's something girly about me..." I was a girly girl who still climbed trees and rode bikes and all that stuff, but I also had dolls, but I hated barbie. Don't worry, you will grow into a beautiful young woman, I imagine. ; )

Start off with baby steps adding new things along the way...don't jump head first in girly girl stuff.

Make-up: Start off with some pressed powder, mascara, light eyeshadow and gloss...use a LITTLE BIT but enough that you have that hint of color on your eyes and that flushed look on your cheeks. Like I said, don't use alot to look like a drag queen, look as natural as possible. The guys may tease you and ask WHY you're wearing make up...tell them you're trying something new.

Hair: I assume you're hair is always in a ponytail. Try curling the ends of your hair every now and then, then gradually let it down until your hair is completely down and flowy. Add some hair accessories like clips and head bands gradually. Use some Volumizer spray for that "oomph" in your hair...that's always pretty. You can even get subtle layers, when curled, they look gorgeous.

Accessories: A little goes a long way. If you don't wear alot of jewelry like I do, buy some earrings, some diamond studs and gradually upgrade to dangle chandellier (sp?) and hoop earrings. But don't "over-bling" yourself and shower yourself with a necklace, earrings, bracelets and rings all at once. Wear one piece of jewelry at a time, remember, you're gradually "morphing" into a girly girl. Earrings one day, a bracelet the next day.

Clothes: Since you wear baggy pants and big t-shirts and sneakers, gradually wean into bootcut jeans and smaller t-shirts (not too tight) White t-shirts always match with all jeans so get a nice cute white t-shirt and start wearing that with your baggy jeans then gradually start wearing the tighter jeans
Clothing can be a touchy subject when it comes to tom-boys. But you only need a few good shirts and good pants to mix and match. Get some nice sneakers (not the boyish kinds) but nice shoes like K-Swiss that goes with EVERYTHING. Flip flops are nice too

I advise that if you become TOO girly-girl, people may not like you, you're just changing the outside, not the inside. I'm a tom-boy myself and have nothing but brothers and guy friends, but I dress like a girl, but I sure as hell don't act like a priss....prissy girls piss me off!

Hoped I helped...from one tom-boy to another!!! It's not so hard! :o)

PS...listening to Rap doesn't make a difference. I listen to rap all the time. Don't give up!!!!

it is no big deal realy, all you have to do is to continue your life as before and in order to settle that tomboy problem you have to associate with girls that are girly, do not get me wrong, oyu do not have to be whiny and stufff, just see how they go about their girly stuff,

in order to change , wearing a tight skirt would do, it doesnt have to be short although short is a bonus, wear some earings, makeup and blowdry your hair, forget the baggy stuff,

listening to rap and hanging with boys doesnt make you tomb boy, it is who you wish to be associated that makes the difference,

also , a must girly thing is to get the ""walk """ walk like a pro, with heels, if you have got the walk, you are into style,
