The word is used in this context:

I searched a synonym for the phrase ‘according to’ about 10 minutes ago at following eight thesaurus websites, but could not find the word at the search:

Thank you for your time and help!

In business-speak, we frequently use the word "per" to mean "according to".

"Per Mary's report..."
"I parked my car at the curb per your request"

See sense #3 in the Merriam Webster dictionary listing.

In thesaurus.com, one of the meanings of according to is "word for word," or "verbatim."--and that's more the meaning here. You could say "It says in Mary's report"
