the Vikings were a pantheistic society. They had several Gods. There are legends in the prose Edda by Snorri Sturluson http://www.sacred-texts.com/neu/pre/index.htm
that tell all bout these Gods. there were two types of Gods, the Aesir, and the Vanir. The aesir are the dominant Gods and are gods of battle like Thor and Odin. The Vanir are agricultural gods such as Freyr and Freya. the vanir controlled crops. Thor was the God of thunderstorms. he was the champion of the gods and men against the Giants. In the spring time there were always lots of thunderstorms when the weather became warmer and the ice began to melt. Viking age people associated this with Thor defeating the Ice Giants. the upper nobility and warrior class were more likely to worship Odin as the head of battle.

The Vikings have an interesting history. Look them up on the internet or get some books at the library. Yes, they believe in different Gods and Goddesses. Thor is one - with his mightly hammer. They were the Norse Gods.

Not sure about weather and crops, but at first they were pagans or polytheistic, then later on converted to Christianity. Is this to much detail for you?

Not only did they believe in many gods (Thor, Odin, Freyja, etc.) but some modern day pagans still pay homage to these very same gods.

They had brobably as many as the greeks. Thor was god of war, Loki was mischief, so on an so forth. Valhalla was heaven. Thats all I remember off the top of my head.
