I saw this goth girls profile online, and something is really really wrong with her. She likes the color black, vampiers, blood, cutting herself, death, saten, and a bunch of other morbid things I don't think I should post.
She has been sending me threats on my email and I'm starting to get sick of it. What should I do? Are all goth people like this?

No, not all. One of my relatives is Goth, that is a person with a problem,not a proper representation of Goth. For the most part they are all good people who like to be different or perhaps have different religious beleifs like wika and whatever. But just like everything, be carefull not to stereotype a group because of the messed up actions of a single individual. After all, that is what gets us into wars.

No, all "goth people" are definietely not like this. I have known some pretty cool goths in my day. However, there are always people who take themselves waaaaaay too seriously in any group, be it jocks, preps, goths, whatever. These people are probably best to avoid.
The funniest thing about goths though, is that they will tell you they are rebelling against society and expressing their individuality by dressing and acting the way that they do. What makes this funny is that they just dress, act and talk exactly like each other, like the same music, etc. They are not individuals, just a different (and smaller) tribe.

If you think all goth people are the same you are obviously just predjudice (pre-judging people). Thats like saying all Christians are the same: women hating people who spank thier kids and think everyone else is going to hell. Or that all preppies are greedy and selfish whose world and brain revolves around nothing more then clothing and money.
Steryotypes are pathetic and ignorant. You shouldn't judge someone on what they wear and mentioning things like that as your defining factor just show you haves steryotypes in your head and supports steryotypical views to everyone else who reads this.
Instead you could have said she seemed short tempers, scary, threatened you, and seemed distrubed without mentioning criteria such as that "oh shes a goth"
2nd of all, whats wrong with black? In the fashion industry right now its the hot color, it makes you look slimmer, and it is considered essential supposedly for all women to have a "slinky balck dress" that they can wear out. So why is black odd?? Some people don't like walking around like a giant gummy bear or a barbie doll!!! :P Black can be a very pretty color, the color of sleek horses, and the night sky lit up with stars.
3rd. Vampires have been the source for some of the best selling books and money making movies so you can't brush the whole thing off as bad.
4th: being "into death" is not horrible. Maybe to really weird freaky religious people but death is a part of nature. Being into death doesn't necessarily mean you like to watch a cat bake in the oven, it could simply mean that you like to study different religions views on death, or many of the folk lore that surrounds it.
5th: there are lots of weird people who claim to be into satanism and do disturbed things like cutting themselves. This is usually the sign of someone who has mental instabilitites, which has nothing to do with being "goth". emo people cut themselves, and kids with strict christian parents use drugs. Its a sign a person needs help. The uni-bomber and tTmmothy Mcveay weren't goths, neither was Jeffery Dalmer. Being messed up is in your head not in the clothes you wear.
6th if you were smart you would have blocked her email already. And if she lives in your area save the emails she sent you and contact the local police department.

They'll be goth until they hit their mid to late 20, realize that there aren't too many jobs some guy with a long Matrix-y trench coat, powdered face and black eyeliner can get and cut their hair and get a real job. Goths gotta eat too. How many goths do you see walking around the corporate offices of Boeing? Anybody who is in their late 20 and still a goth is kidding themselves. Ignore her. and no, not all goths are like that.

ok i was goth and kinda still am, i love the color black whats wrong with that,why do you love yur fav color?,vampires are cool. But I DONT CUT MYSELF and never had thats stupid only EMO Kids do that, and if goth ppl do its probably for fun because they like blood,not all goths like satan,but some do cuz hes evil we like evil things just the thought of it anyway but i aint a satanist and not all are.just dont be so simple minded and dont judge thats all. and that person just wants to freak you out for fun.just block her.

I don't like the style - but compare them to rapper wannabes and they look a lot better all of a sudden. At least they cover themselves.
Rapper wannabes, however, look like nothing more than pimps and prostitutes who mustered enough courage to go out in public.
I want to be rid of rapper wannabes or ghetto people sooner than the goths. Leave them alone for now.

Nope, not all Goth people are like that, you unfortunatly found one thats just a few cards short of a full deck, if ya know what I mean. LOL Just block her e-mail address so you can't recieve anything from her anymore and report her to the Abuse people at Yahoo! Answers and they'll look into it and boot her out of Answers.

Im sure not all are. That would be a stereotype. I don't particulary like the whole goth thing either, but they are people. As far as the whole email thing, block her address.

Goth = Looser who was never hugged by daddy and now has a sense of identity by joining other like minded loosers who want to get your attention by shocking you with their morbidness and not a genuine accomplishment in ltheir life, that would require too much effort and discipline.

no not all are like that. most are pretty nice, some are shy.None of my goth friends ever got into a fight or threatened anyone. None of the ones I knew were into Satan
