Microsoft Excel is a program that creates spreadsheets. It's part of the Microsoft Office package. But you'll find the documents wherever you last saved them to.

If you're trying to find files like Excel do a search for "*.xls"

If you want to author a spreadsheet, you'll need an application for that. If you don't own Office or Works - you can use the open source "OpenOffice" from openoffice.org. In most cases, it's just as good, if not better, than Excel.

Depending on the programs you have installed, you may find them in Microsoft Excel, or possibly in the Microsoft Works or Office files.
