I probably will just so I can reply and tell him that I do not want road tolling at all.

Everybody should reply. It's only polite to tell him in detail to stop ignoring what we have indicated we feel about road tolling. Two million emails might penetrate his thick skull !

Some of the answers here show exactly what is wrong with this e-petition thing. Basically any fool can log onto a website and with absolutely no knowledge of the issue whatsoever can add their name to a petition. No wonder so many gullible people accepted, without question, the misleading emails that were circulating urging them to sign.

Then, when Downing Street attempts to engage them in a debate on the subject, their tiny minds switch off again and they delete or disregard the response.

God help democracy!

Read every single word. I think Tony Blair is a brilliant prime minister, he gets my vote every time, I will be very sad to see him step down in May and have a very boring Gordon Brown take over. Long Live Tony Blair

Yes I did, and boy was it long winded politician speak. From what I can gather from all the wittering on, they are not planning to introduce a stealth tax, we are not heading (even more) towards a big brother society, thanks very much for putting forward your view BUT WE WILL BE CHARGING MORE FOR ROAD USE AND OWNING A CAR JUST AS SOON AS WE CAN.......! Basically, blah, blah, blah we all have a voice and f*ck off anyway! - Got to love living in a democratic society huh?!

Actually I did, I also went and looked at the independent viewpoints from the links at the bottom of it.
The best one is Peter Roberts ( who started the petition )
And went to his website- traveltax.org.uk
