Attaching balloons is a good idea..I would go for the ones that have smiley faces and I would also attach a card on his windshield that says that he must meet you in an hour at a restraunt for dinner..that way you can cheer him up with your company and he can talk if he chooses to. I would suggest something light spirited like a sports bar.
