Rabbits are very easy to train, mine never goes potty outside of his litterbox. however they will always bite cords, furniture, carpeting...anything you don't want them to chew. Make sure you rabbit proof the room. Its fine to have a bunny even though you have classes, just make sure it gets a causal "run time", "petting time", and lots of chew toys. Some rabbits can get quite large! So check the breed/age of the rabbit to figure out how big it'll get. I have a dwarf lion-head bunny and he's the sweetest thing. He hasn't been fixed but despite what I've been told he has no sexual aggression...i just have a stuffed-animal-bunny he can "play" with.
Also, check petfinder.org for your local shelter. Many have already trained rabbits that are in need of a loving home.

It depends on your schedule and the place you live. First you need a big enough room for a cage for your rabbit. This cage needs to give it space to run and stand up. Also, bunnies need human interaction each day for like an hour. Also, bunnies like to explore, so giving it room to run outside its cage is important. Money is another factor. Rabbits need hay and pellets. Hay costs about $5 and need to be bought almost everyweek, if getting the kind i get. Rabbits can be potty trained and can be odor-free with the right bedding. If you are willing to dedicate your time and love for the bunny, it could most definately work.
About the leashes, animals like to exercise an dplay outside, not necessarily "walk". They do not like the harness, as I have discovered from personal experience. They do what ever then can to get out of them because they are not comfortable. Rabbits can be trianed, like my rabbit, it goes to the bathroom in his cage only. Don't but the harness, it won't really work.

I had a rabbit in college. I kept him in a cage while I was in classes. It was the best pet I could of had at the time and is still the best rabbit I ever had. I would get one and enjoy it.

Yes, a rabbit is a perfect animal. It is both friendly and independant. I had a rabit and it thought it was a cat, and it would eat cat food, and use the litter box. Just make sure that you clean the rabbits cage often enough and that you hold it abit, and your rabbit will be fine.

Awww I had a bunny in college. How fun. I actually potty trained her (yes you can do this) to go in a bowl. She was a lap rabbit and I loved her and enjoyed her very much. Good Luck.

Unless you potty train it very well, I wouldn't recomment it. I had a rabbit and it was a lot of work. It basically continuously goes to the bathroom and leave "pellets" everywhere.

Rabbits are most active at night. So it would be sleeping while you are at class! Sounds like a match to me!

No. They run around the room and chew on furniture, electrical cords, etc., and they leave their little "pellets" all over the place. Even if you train them to use a litter box, they will pee and poop all over. Then it really smells. Yes, they are cute and cuddly, but they are lousy pets for in college. If you keep it in a cage it might be better, but they are noisy at night because they are rodents, and rodents are nocturnal animals.
