Does anyone know why benjamen franklin in prison break sent and iraq postcard to his family and whats he got to do with iraq?

Benjamin "C-Note" Franklin was sent to prison for driving a truck full of stolen goods. He was deported from the Army for reporting prisoner misconduct while there. He was trying to make ends meet with his family and when he got caught and had to go to prison he didnt want his wife to think anything bad of him so he lied about where he was going so that he would not lose her. He told Kacey (his wife) he was stationed in Iraq so there was no way she could contact him and find out he was lying.

His name is not Benjaman Franklin it is Franklin but I forgot his last name. There is this one episode called "Brothers Keeper" that explains how Sucre, Michael, Lincoln, Abruzzi, C-Note (Franklin) and Charlie got there. With C-Note, apparently he WAS originally deported to Iraq to fight for the war, and he witnessed some abuse taking place between an officer and an Iraqi prisoner. One of his fellow fighters asked him if he would report the abuse to authorities and he said yet. Since the officials knew they would get in trouble for abusing Iraqi prisoners, to shut C-Note up, they sent him to prison, and he never told his wife or daughter about it, that's why even when he is in prison, he sends his family post cards for Iraq. I thought that it was very sad because he didn't deserve to be in prison in the first place.

he was a sergeant in the US Army and was in kuwait, He told his wife and daughter that he was getting shipped back to Iraq. when in fact he was going to prison. His brother in law knows he's in prison but hasn't told his family. So he had to send postcard from iraq to make it look like he's there.

yeah, people have it right.. he wanted his wife and daughter to think he was in Iraq.. when he really was in prison..
and his name is Benjamin Franklin... that is what he said on the phone to that FBI guy...
on the show, they tend to call each other by their last names...

he's family doesnt know he is in prison, they thought he is in iraq. so he keep sending iraq postcards, he doent want he's family to be sad...

He didn't want his kid to know and his wife to know that he is an escaped convict. But he was once in Iraq, he was fighting, but that is why he is in prison in the first place for something that I can't remember....
