I guess some people just don't have a sense of humour.

They can't even join in the fun, because they are scratching their head wondering why we are all laughing.

Witty remarks go right over the top of their head
(or is that heads).
And yes, some people do pride themselves in lack of humour, because they consider every question should be treated seriously....

I keep re reading your question, they often have a sneaky twist;-)

Dearest noTpoOdLE,

Thank you for addressing this important issue. People who come to Y!Answers are troubled souls, looking for guidance in this roller coaster we call "life". When you post a question that is so-called "humourous", you are mocking them, thereby hurting their feelings by taking the dignity out of their otherwise serious matters of the heart.

Likewise, when someone posts a serious question, and you answer it with this (in YOUR words...) "humour", you are contributing to the problems of society, rather than the cure.

I hope that you will take this into consideration the next time you wish to add some humour to our otherwise stuffy (yet proud) lives.

Thank you, and God bless.

Perhaps so but what do you think of those that force a sense of humour and they aren't the humorous type? I think humour is OK if you can laugh with or at and not be misconstrued as a fuddy duddy.

I know people with qualifications in their lack of humour, it costs nothing to smile or laugh does it.

People are all different, unique, so what is common sense to one person may not be to another. xxx
