I know I have AGP slots cause my vid card is using one..but I'm wondering if it has PCI-Express slots as well.

I read that you can find out your make/model number of your motherboard by going to the Device Manager in the Control Panel of Windows. I tried but I saw a whole bunch of things like IEE Controller, AGP bus, etc.

Does the mother board have another name for it? What is it listed under in the Device Manager part of Windows?

thanks

I can tell you with good certainty that if you have an AGP slot on your motherboard then it does not have PCI-e.

There were a few boards that were made with both, but they would not be in your standard computer.

The model number of the mother board is usually printed on the board itself. It would be much easier to simply take the side panel off the case and take a quick peek.

Try opening the case open and take a look. usually PCI slots are in 3 and white or just look at the label beside each slot. If you have AGP, there is a strong possiblity that you don't have PCi-Express.
