What about them? They are a God send. They don't use drugs to treat the pain, they adjust you and help remedy the pain. Nothing will fix the pain but they will help keep you from the pain. I've worked in the field of Orthopedics and I've gone to the chiropractor and I'll take the chiropractor any day of the week.
So called doctors don't like the chiropractors because they make the "doctors" look bad. Those doctors make a profit from having you take drugs and I wouldn't take a doctors word for anything. They are thieves at best.

Chiropractors are like every other type of medical professional in one respect: There are those who are at the top of their profession and really know what they are doing, and there are those that shouldn't be allowed to treat livestock.
The main thing is that anyone that you see should be able to explain what they think is wrong with you, and lay out the options that they have to offer. If you aren't getting that kind of communication from your doctor/chiro/therapist, I'd go looking for another one.
I am a physical therapist, so I am biased to think that PT is the way to go in a lot of cases. Unfortunately, your question couldn't be any more broad, so I can't comment. Please try asking a more specific question.
Good luck!

I went to a chiropractor and it worked. I had a %&@#ed up neck that hurt so baaaad, for years. Finally a friend made an appointment with a chiropractor for me, and drove me to it and I started feeling better. After a few weeks I was fine. I have talked with people who chiropractic did not work for, and one who actually got worse because of it, but for me, it worked. Thank God!

I am not sure what your ? is, but I have been going to chiropractors for more than 45yrs. 99% are good. It's always a good idea to ask others who they recommend. I have a very bad low back problem and have had sense I was 13yrs. old. Chiropractors have kept me moving. I have worked, had 3 children, and pretty much done whatever I wanted to do. Just carefully ! Good Luck

I swear by them. I was told by a specialist in hospital that I would have to wear a collar for the rest of my life. I went to see a chiropractor who told me the first thing I should do was to take the collar off because all it would do was to weaken the muscles in my neck. After many visits my neck is now 100% better than it was, and no collar.

I worked in the sports medicine field, and I have seen more damage than healing by chiros. Some are great and they have their place in the medical world, but most others will take your pain away for a few days but it always come back! Instead of strengthening, too often they only do adjustments for pain relief. Just my firsthand opinion.

Using the term "doctor" loosely, of course.
Quack, Quack, Quack.
