The Fort in Maryland where in 1814, a lawyer named Francis Scott Key was imprisoned on a British ship that was bombarding the Fort. The next morning the colors were still flying high - prompting him to pen the words to what would become the national anthem of the USA - "The Star Spangled Banner"

Ft. McHenry was a fort. Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner from one of the ships bombarding the fort during the war for our independence.

Read about James (not "fort") McHenry in the Wikipedia. The fort was named after this Scottish founding father.

ft. McHenry is a fort. It's not a man. That's why it's CALLED 'Fort McHenry'. It's named after the man who was secretary of war under George Washington. Try wikipedia next time.
