Drew Neitzel is one of the best players in all of the NCAA. He has a very good chance of getting drafted early and getting a good contract.

The best thing Neitzel has going for him is he can shoot the ball, and has point guard skills. So he won't be like dozens of other undersized 2 guards trying to make it in the league, and Neitzels PG skills are better than that of McNamara's.

I can see him being like a Jason Williams, just not as athletic, better distributor though. He just has to land on a team that can use him.

Drew Neitzel is a very good player. However, his total package of skills may not translate into a high draft selection. Neitzel might be best served by staying two more years, continuing to improve and then hoping to be selected in the late 1st round/early second round area.

It is difficult to get NBA executives too excited about a 6'0" "shoot first" point guard, but Neitzel's intangibles could net him a career in the NBA.

You're nuts! He is a good college player, but he will not be a big-time NBA guy. He would be lucky to come off the bench ala Steve Kerr. You remember Gerry McNamera from Syracuse? Basically the same guy. And G-mac ain't tearing up the League.

I don't think he's good enough to get into the NBA yet. Maybe in a year or so when he can improve on different techniques of his game like the versatility and intangibles.

Yes, I agree with most. He might need to stay another year. He is a great shooter but 1 more year of maturity will help him out greatly.

for his sake i hope not. college success, even at a big school (like michigan state) does not guarantee draft success (see Troy Smith in Ohio St)
