Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have , and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here. I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11?
The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks? The Commander in Chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending
you and me? Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show?

Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad? Think about it......are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the "Media" told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day?

Wow, good point. I agree on a lot of things you just said. People don't realize how grateful they are to live in this country. People that complain and ***** and moan about how bad it is here wouldn't leave if someone gave them a free plane ticket and passport. Bottom line is, that it comes down to being spoiled and having nothing better to do than ***** and moan and complain. Trying to find something wrong with this country is a hobby to a lot of people these days. These people don't realize that something as simple as taking a shower with hot water is an advantage compared to a lot of countries. These people don't realize that when we are hungry, we can go to the grocery store or the drive thre for a quick fix. People in other countries can only dream and hear stories about things we take for granted every day. When is everyone just gonna wake up and realize that nothing is perfect? And bitching about it will do no good. We should be thankful for what our ancestors left us and try to continue to build for our children and grandchildren. The key to this is to work as a whole nation, not a divided one. The destruction of this country will not happen because of another country, it will happen because we are divided.

i'm gonna have to use someone else's words for this one.

"i love my country
by which i mean i am indebted joyfully
to all the people throughout history
who have fought the government to make right"
-ani difranco

if it weren't for all those "ingrates" and "spoiled brats" we wouldn't have overcome slavery, unequal treatment of women, segregation, or hell, even have our own country to begin with.
open a history book sometime.
this country was built on a bunch of ungrateful brats, i suppose. those damn babies who wrote up the constitution should have just shut up and took it! and silly martin luther king, jr. he just need a nap, i suppose.

sorry to sound snarky, but that argument, no matter how articulate you may make it, is old and tired and meant for high schoolers who want to reiterate whatever they're parents have told them growing up.

I am too pessimistic about the behavior of the U.S. Supreme Court to be proud and grateful of this land. Being proud and grateful of how the U.S. Supreme Court has been interpreting the Constitution is sort of like being proud and grateful that elitists are running the country instead of the people themselves.

we are, me i was born and raised here but in a Cuban Neighborhood in South Florida. And those people are the hardest workers ive ever seen. They go out and do all kinds of hard back breaking work that not too many Americans would do.
And the world looks at us the same way, 67% of the country is over weight.

I talk to a friend who lives in Berlin, over there the common stereotype is a fat person.

And its a shame. here we dont have to worry about a militia or hunger or being persecuted by the govt. We have it made in the eyes of many. but were so used to things going our way that when they dont we get angry and impatient.

Just look at all the people wanting to pull out of Iraq, weve been in Germany and Japan for 62years!!!!!!!!!

I blame the media always criticizing the govt when our economy and budget swallows the next 5 countries for breakfast!

And im poor but yet i have a tv, food, and a house and even the luxury of a car(although it sucks!!). in ther countries i would be rich.

And Bush lowered taxes for me and created more jobs and has kept us safe from terrorism, WHAT MORE CAN WE ASK FOR?

The life expectancy is amazing and we have a decent health care system.

I think that the stupid talk shows need to shut up.
the only reason theyre still on the air is because our brave troops allow them to diss them.
And may i add that our military is all volunteer!

I know our country aint perfect, but does any other nation even scratch the surface like the good ole USA?

Very good question, just look at all your hate mail. THATS WHY I GAVE YOU A STAR!!!!!

God Bless the USA!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see things that way at all. We are probably the most impatient people in the history of the world. Sometimes that is good, it makes us the most innovative. Sometimes it is bad, as when we don't stay to finish a job.

Indeed. Even the poorest American is wealthier and healthier than 70% of the world's population.

I am thankful that my father was in the Air Force and I had the opportunity to grow up in several countries besides the US. I wish more people had the opportunity to travel the world. For most, I think it would make them more appreciative of what we have.

You may be talking about the lefties here, who complain about the military while at the same time hiding behind them.

the president is suppose to do the bidding of the people. we are his boss in a sense. you mention how he guided us after 9/11. guided us into an unnessacary war that has kill many americans. and no most people know how biased the news is and do there own research, unless you are a republican.
