I would also say around the £4000 to £5000. But its sooooo worth it. I mean it. It will be a once in a lifetime thing. It is an absolutely amazing place.

If I were you I would do save my *** off. I know when I have kids I am gonna sacrifice whatever I need to to be able to take them as much as I can. I went every year as a child and again as an adult with my husband to be and even he was amazed and he is 34. We were both so gutted to be home we cried! He has said that its every parents duty to take their children there.

It is such a special place and nothing on the telly or in magazines can tell you what its reall like. I know am really emotional about it but its such a special place for me. My partner and I got engaged there in Oct and are planning our wedding there in 2009.
If you need any advice just email me. Although I would recommend Travel City Direct over other tour operators. They are really really good and are cheaper than most other companies especially virgin!

I would also say get a villa!!! Not a hotel as with five of you its gonna be pretty tight! U can get a lovely 3/4 bed Villa in a really nice location with private pool etc for around £500 per week depending on what time of year. Like I say i can give you tons of info and useful tips. your flights will cost about £500 including car hire and taxes for adults and about £250 for kids (depending on age of course).

It really does depend on where you want stay, what kind of passes you want, if you want dining, how much your air will run, etc.

Your room is going to run from $130 to $150 a night, for the least expensive option at Disney. Since you have a family of five, you would either need to stay in two value resorts, one family suite in the All Star Music, or in one room at Riverside (if you have one child under nine) There are other options, but these three will be the least expensive, if you want a little more room, the Wilderness Cabins is a great choice.

For tickets, it will depend on ages and what you are looking for. Prices start at over $70 for adults and then just under $60 for children under 10 and children 2 and under are free. At Disney, you will save more based on how many days you stay. The longer the pass, the lower the price is per day for passes. The hopping option and the water park and more option is extra.

Dining will depend on where you want to eat. If you get the dining plan, you will spend $38.99 for adults and children 10 and up and $10.99 for children under 10 (for each night of your stay). That would give very nice meals for each night of your stay. You can spend less on dining, so that would give you a high estimate if you want to eat at some of the less expensive places or make your own food. The dining plan is a great deal if you want some nicer meals.

Other than that, you also have to figure your air, your transportation, souvenirs, etc.

So, for a week, I would estimate your cost to be $2000 (no air) or more depending on what you want to do, this would probably be for a more basic trip. But, it really does depend on what you are wanting to do and things like that.

Going right now you are looking at about £1200 just for two adults
It might pay to get a fly drive, as you can get a room for all of you for $60 per night, looking at around £150 each for Disney tickets
then spending money on top of that, id say around £4000

I know that a family of 2 adults and 2 kids two weeks in America, nice hotels and car hire, one week Disney with all the passes for all the tourist theme parks and one week beech holiday, with spending money, you are looking at the best part of £3-5k. Might be able to do it cheaper, depending on what tour operator you try, but beware of any hidden extras, they can soon mount up. Dont forget, it that will be all your spends for treats and food etc.

We are a family of 5 Who have been to Orlando a few times. Our kids are 14,11,8 the last trip we had was October 2006 and it cost us around £5500 including food and spending money. That was with Virgin holidays and staying off world (Sheraton Safari hotel lake Buena vista)
We have just priced up a holiday to In disney resort itself in October 2008 (again with Virgin) and it comes out around £6250 (for holiday alone).
Try the Virgin holidays website you can enter all your dates and information and it gives you an instant quote.
We have been 3 out of our 4 times with virgin and find them very good value.
We have been once ,booking everything separately and found it had no particular price advantage over Virgin.
Hope this helps - Enjoy
