I absolutely could. We are not at war with their citizens by the way. According to most of what I hear and read most of these insurgents aren't Iraqi, they are coming from Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and places such as that. And even if they were from Iraq, that doesn't mean that every citizen of Iraq is a terrorist. Its like the VC in Vietnam, just because some of the Vietnamese people fought against us doesn't mean they all did. I would have no problem befriending an Iraqi. I figure the more Iraqi friends we have, the less Iraqi enemies we have. Sounds like a damn fine idea if I do say so. Thanks and have a nice day.

Good Question!!

The Iraqi people are the same as you and I, they have families enjoy sports, saying that all Iraqi people are terrorists is like saying all Americans are war mongrels, Yes there are pockets of Bad people, you get that in any country.

I get really mad when I read that all Iraqi's should be killed, what for? Living their Life as they see fit. Yes their life style is far different to ours and they have a different GOD but does that mean we should wipe them out.
Embrace them with open arms. You only have to watch some of the films being made in Iraq to see most of them are nice gentle people, I will add they do have a short fuse and can be a little over the top, yet they are people that God made.
Shame on anyone that thinks they should all be put in a cage.
Shame on BUSH and his Henchmen for what they have done over there. They don't want the USA there at all, either does many many people around the world.

I wouldn't say that we are at war with Iraqi citizens, there are insurgents/ terrorists that came in from Iran as well as certain factions of the Iraqi populace.
As for myself, I could be friends with anybody depending on their ideology. In WW 2, I could have been friends with a German, as long as he was not a Nazi, and today, potentially with anyone as long as he was not a radical Islamist for one, the Palestinian Christians are great, and so on.

I could be a friend with an Iraqi person. As long as they arent a threat to our society or terrorists or something, I dont see any harm in being a friend.

Of course! What about all the Kurds in the North? We're great friends. The Kurdish north looks peaceful and prosperous. If the country really wanted progress, they should just elect lots of Kurds. They seem to know what they are doing.

The ones who really hate us are from Saddam's Sunni party.

we are NOT at war with Iraqi citizens, and there's no reason other
mutual human like or dislike that would prevent friendship.

FIRST WE ARE NOT AT WAR WITH IRAQI CITIZENS. WE ARE FIGHTING AN INSURGENCY OF FANATICAL MUSLIMS.
SECOND THEY ARE KILLING EACH OTHER. THEY ARE LOCKED IN A CIVIL WAR WHETHER YOU BELIEVE IT OR NOT.
THIRD I WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM HAVING IRAQI FRIENDS. IRAQI'S ARE PEOPLE TOO.

YES!!

this is a perfect example of prejudice that is existing in our society today. How is this different than not being friends with an African American because they are black?

Whoever says no if obviously a racist and prejudice person
